Chongqing Xinhua Bookstore group was authorized by Chongqing municipal government in April, 1998, and set up by the original Xinhua Bookstore Chongqing publisher, Chongqing Xinhua Bookstore, and Chongqing Foreign Language Bookstore. The book city was established by Xinhua Bookstore Ltd with investment 130,000,000 Yuan. The business area is 14,000 square meters, and it mainly manage about 150,000 kinds of books, audio and video products and electronic publication which are published by 700 domestic and foreign publishing houses, and simultaneously manages the digital products, writing-set and so on. It is the biggest publication selling field in Chongqing at present.
